So after Elizabeth left, I was so very happy, for I knew that she would tell everyone in Longborn how happy Charlotte and I are together. So, in a sense I have had great gratitude towards her. However, I overheard he saying things like oh poor Charlotte-but why? I later found out that it was not because of anything that had happened to her, but the fact that she had to stay in Hundsford with me! How rude of her to say such a thing to a person who has been so nice and thankful towards her? Also, now I begging to worry that she will say bad things about Charlotte and I's relationship.

Oh how I laugh at your dim-wittiness. You and Charlotte are so clearly unhappy that I do not understand why you let yourself try to delude others. It is obvious to everyone but you. Please try to be kinder to your gentle wife, who just wants to be accepted in life. Look at me, being all kind. It must be something I ate.
Oh Mr. Collins I have to apologize for Elizabeth's attitude for I am sure she didn't mean it that way. She must be a little sad because her best friend has left her. She most certainly will not say anything to offend Charlotte and your relationship. She couldn't do such a thing to Charlotte.
