Needing to Reconize

Darcy and Elizabeth need to realize that they love each other, for Elizabeth should feel privileged that she could have such a great man admiring her because he has high status and a large fortune.  His affection is the highest compliment to Elizabeth.  Also, they are both trying to play a game of cat mouse-they both pretend to not have feelings while going after each other at the same time-which makes things very difficult to understand from both sides of the story.  The letter was the most obvious sign, and truthfully I could tell from the first day I was introduced to Darcy that he had feelings for Elizabeth, I do not know how, but I had a premonition that a relationship would soon form between the two of them.

Dear Mr. Collins,
Trust me Lizzy would have said yes to my proposal if she actually loved me. Now that I look back on our time spent together I can clearly see that Lizzy has never really shown any affection towards me. Neither my high status nor my money could ever convince her to love me or marry me, for Lizzy is a strong independent young woman who would never submit to marriage if she was not in love as you should know Mr. Collins.

I certainly have recognized my love for that woman, but she keeps giving me the cold shoulder. She seems to have an unchangeable opinion of me and my pride. I expressed my feelings to her and was only met with hostility. I assure you Mr. Collins, in the foreseeable future there will not be any relationship between me and The Miss Bennet that wounded my pride.

Mr. Collins.. you always seem like you're trying to say the right thing. But it never seems to work out. I hope society realizes that money and fortune in a marriage isn't always everything. Love, however, is something all marriages should. Those who truly love each other will be happy forever. And Darcy.. I apologize for my hostility, but after what you did to my sister it is hard to forget.

Oh well if Mr. Collins believes we were meant for eachother, it must be so. Darcy get the wedding set up at once, for Mr. Collins is an expert at love, obviously. I mean, his marriage is off to a most enchanting start being that him and Charlotte are soulmates... But in all seriousness Mr. Collins, you are the last man I would go to for advice, for I do not care about wealth and fortune or of getting married just for the sake of it. Therefore, I do not care to listen to your hunches of love, and also, you spelt "recognize" wrong.

Collins, love is a beautiful thing. I miss it so, and I wish I could go back and reunite with my Jane. You need to understand that love is not based on high status and good fortune. It is about a wanting to care for another. It is a spark inside us that make us want to be better for that person.

I do hope that Darcy and Elizabeth do not end up together, but I am beginning to come to terms with the relationship. They can not help their love for each other, and I just have to give in and wish them luck. However, I can safely say that you and your wife Charlotte do not belong together, and such a kind woman deserves someone much better than you. Good day

My friend Darcy loves Elizabeth dearly, but I fear Lizzy does not feel the same. This breaks my heart, for I only wish to see my friend happy. Maybe I shall travel to the Bennet residence and speak to Elizabeth. Is that what I should do for my friend?

Mr.Collins, I am so sick of your false sense of superiority. Really, what do you know about love? If Darcy and I have feelings for one another, it is none of your business. Perhaps you should attempt to learn to keep your nose out of other peoples' lives.

There is absolutely nothing going on between Darcy and Elizabeth! As Darcy's aunt, i would be well aware of any romance between them. I happen to know for a fact that Darcy is deeply in love with Ms. Bingley. You are all fools for believing that Bennet girl

Mr. Collins. You must think yourself quite noble to think of such things. However, I feel i must tell you to stop thinking such foolish thoughts because I do not have feelings for Mr. Darcy. Whether or not he feels the same way remains a mystery to me but i feel inclined to tell you to mind your own business.

Mr. Collins-
Elizabeth does not really love me. She denied my marrige proposal and always is rude to me. I have expressed my feelings for her time after time. I don't know if she is just playing hard to get or if she is just not interested. She has to much pride to be with a man like me.

For the last time, I do not, nor will I ever love that man. He is impossibly arrogant and proud. I could never tolerate someone like him as my husband. I can't even stand to be in the same room as him....
