Changes in Perspective
In the begining of the Darcy and Elizabeth, Darcy refers to Elizabeth as pretty but does not tempt him; however, in a turn of events, he says that she is one of the prettiest girls that he knows. I think that because of the change in perspective shown through Darcy's own words, that he is still in love with Elizabeth. This is one of the stupidest things that I have ever heard about, for the social deprecation of Darcy because of Elizabeth's lower class. Because she is not accomplished and she cannot read, this shows that she is not going to benefit Darcy. Maybe he should rethink what "true love" is.
Deflection
When Mr. Bingley and Caroline show up at Pemberly, Elizabeth was so flustered. With Caroline's high class, it is hard for her to understand what it really means to Elizabeth that Mr. Bingley left her very dear sister, Jane. Because of the social class difference, it is difficult for each person to understand each others problems. Additionally, when Caroline started to give Lizzy some grief about the militia leaving, Lizzy does not know how to respond. However, because she was able to deflect the problem of Wickham, she was able to befriend Georgina even more, for she was going to get married to him.
New Friends
I heard that Georgina and Elizabeth had recently met each other and had a brief conversation. For such an accomplished girl, she is very shy i hear. Darcy and her must learn to be more social and learn to show their feelings more readily, for they both will have problems in the future with their peers. For example, the reason that Elizabeth was not able to accept Darcy's proposal because she was unaware that he even had any feelings for her. For a person of such high class, he does not have much manners that allow him to show off his social status.
Touring Pemberly
Today, I heard, that Elizabeth toured through Pemberly, but the only reason that she agreed to doing so was because Darcy wasn't home. She was blown away by the superiority of the place and how nice it was with all of the elegant features that house had. However, when Darcy all of a sudden showed up, Elizabeth had a sudden rush of emotion. She could barley even control herself. At the end of the trip, he told Elizabeth that he would be having guests over later and that is why he really returned, but I keep asking myself, was it really because of that or was it because he heard that Lizzy was there?
