Turn of the Tables

All because of his note. I do not know why I feel this way because I am happily with Charlotte, but whenever I hear anything about Elizabeth being involved with another man I become overwhelmed with jealously.  It is not fair I think for her to be happy with someone else when I can not be happy with her.  The letter that Darcy wrote to her makes my life even harder, for the way that she acts about him is now forever changed and I can see that she is falling harder and harder for him and I cannot stop it.  I predict that Elizabeth will in the future become a Mrs. Darcy.

Revenge

I have just heard of the refusal of Darcy's proposal to Elizabeth! When I had heard that he was thinking about proposing, I felt betrayed and back stabbed my him, for he should have asked me because of me and Elizabeth's past.  But I've just been informed that she refused his proposal, and that is when my heart leaped for joy; furthermore, my revenge on Darcy had been for filled by Elizabeth!  He should have known better than to ask her, and he should have asked me about the experience, for I had been through it once and I could have helped through all the obstacles.  But no, and as a result of his actions he has walked away heartbroken.  This is all his fault, and he should not switch the blame to anyone but himself.

My Perspective

Throughout the multiple visits of Darcy, I have begun to realize something: Darcy falling for Elizabeth.  I have observed from afar their affections for each other, and I see that they both are flirting with each other.  Even if it is subtle, they both send gentle glances toward one another.  I feel sort of betrayed because of my proposal to Elizabeth and how quickly she has been able to find another man, but on the turn side I too have found another woman.  However we are a completely different relationship, for we have genuine happiness and a future together.  Unlike Darcy and Elizabeth who come from two different worlds, and their lives will never be the same. All in all, if there was a dislike button on their relationship, I'd be pushing it.

Paying Respects

Today I traveled to Rosings to Lady Catherine, when I also saw Darcy and his cousin Colonel Fitzwilliam.  I spoke to the  lovely Lady Catherine and her beautiful daughter; however, when I left, they both came with me to my parsonage in Hundsford.  I introduced them both to Elizabeth and Charlotte, but it was so awkward between Elizabeth because she is obviously jealous of Charlotte and our happiness together.  Poor Charlotte so unaware of the jealousy, but I will not ruin the friendship.  But if anything, Elizabeth's jealously has brought us closer together.
